Information for businesses toolkit
As part of the child sexual exploitation awareness campaign 'could you spot the signs?', materials have been developed for licensing and police officers to distribute to hotels, pubs, clubs and taxis. They have been developed to raise awareness of the signs of child sexual exploitation and who to contact should there be any concerns.
This 'toolkit' has been developed for officers to:

This toolkit contains:
Introductory letter
Highlighting the Licensing Act 2003 principle to protect children for harm. This letter is an example which can be used with new and existing applications.
Leaflet: child sexual exploitation - could you spot the signs?
This draws attention to the responsibilities of premises owners with regards to ‘protecting children from harm’. For use with new and existing applications.
Incident and record log templates
Aims to develop good practice with regard to safeguarding and prompt staff to act if they have any concerns.
‘Say something if you see something’ - leaflet
This national campaign developed by the charity NWG Network has training presentations for officers to brief hoteliers and taxi companies.
