LLR SCP's Policy & Procedures Group

The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Safeguarding Children Partnership’s Policy & Procedures Group is a joint sub-group of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Safeguarding Children Partnerships.

The LLR Safeguarding Children Partnership’s Policy & Procedures Group oversees the development of multi-agency safeguarding procedures. The group ensure that procedures are up to date and compliant with Working Together 2023.

The group meets four times a year to coordinate the revision and addition of new procedures. This ensures that the procedures reflect national and local changes as necessary.

The need for updating procedures or creating new ones is identified through a number of ways. These include legislative/statutory changes, national and local policy and operational changes from partner agency or practitioner suggestions. Learning from serious case reviews, learning reviews, audits and suggestions from Tri.x on policy issues are also considered.
