Live Safe: Empowering Young People and Communities

Live Safe is a partnership initiative providing a central online hub for young people, parents/carers, and professionals across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland with the main aim to empower young people (aged 10–19, but also relevant to young adults up to 25), their families, and professionals to play an active role in keeping young people safe. The website offers accessible, up-to-date information, guidance, and resources on issues affecting young people's safety and wellbeing. The website also supports local efforts in adolescent safety and contextual safeguarding, encouraging collaboration between services, families, and communities.
Guiding Principles:
- Do no harm: Avoiding fear-based messaging and unintended consequences.
- Co-production: Involving young people, parents/carers, and professionals in developing content.
- Action-oriented: Providing practical tools and resources to enable everyone to contribute to safety.
