Multi-agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA)
Safeguarding the most vulnerable children in Leicester has always been a priority for our organisations and all partners. In 2019 we are now strengthening our partnership arrangements to safeguard children.
The Leicester Safeguarding Children Partnership has been established to oversee the new Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children arrangements as required by the government guidance Working Together 2023. These arrangements have replaced the Local Safeguarding Children Board as of September 2019.
The safeguarding children partnership arrangements include ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place for the delivery and function of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Child Death Overview Panel. The Child Death Overview Panel arrangements for Leicester are shared with Leicestershire and Rutland.
