Child Sexual Exploitation/Trafficking Group

The Child Sexual Exploitation/Trafficking Subgroup works across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to tackle CSE and is involved in developing local strategy, policy and training.

Terms of Reference

The aims of the Leicester and Leicestershire & Rutland LSCBs CSE sub-group are:

• Fewer young people will be sexually exploited or trafficked in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

• To promote a greater understanding by sexually exploited and/or trafficked young people and those at risk, of their rights, support options and future choices

• Increasing access to services for sexually exploited and/or trafficked young people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

• Increasing knowledge and expertise  amongst a range of practitioners  from various sectors on how to identify and support sexually exploited and trafficked young people;

• To develop local policy that will better ensure that sexually exploited and/or trafficked  young people are identified and receive appropriate support.
